The Inter-American Court of Human Rights is one of two bodies established by the Organization of American States to monitor human rights in the Americas. The other is the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights. The Court was created by Article 33b of the American Convention on Human Rights to safeguard the rights enshrined in the Convention.
